Domain Parking
Domain parking is when you have registered multiple domains and wish to keep them aside (or on hold) until you are ready to use them.
When to park?
When you’ve registered a domain but not yet ready to use it with a website/email etc. Once you park your domain it will direct the user to a default web page depending on where your domain DNS is pointing to.
What can you do when you park your domain?
One good example is using the park to create an email forwarder. e.g. you have have notyetready.com.au registered but not ready to setup a standalone email account for it. In this instance you can create an email forwarder from @notyetready.com.au to an email address of your choice.
This will allow you to receive messages from people that are emailing the @notyetready.com.au domain.
How to park?
The easiest way to park your domain is via the WHM or CPanel account associated with your domain name. Any standard account should allow you the option to view/add parked domains.
